Harland & Wolff dedicated its smaller 335m x 50m Belfast Repair Dock and 432m Repair Quay to the project during May and June 2012. For the execution of this project Harland & Wolff worked with the owner and sub-contractors in an integrated project team from contract award through to contract completion.

This intense period of activity was preceded by a dedicated team, planning and co-ordinating all activities.

The vessel was planned to dock for 32 days during which a broad scope of work was completed. The project was completed early, 4 days ahead of schedule, delivered to budget and accomplished with no Lost Time Injuries (LTIs), to the satisfaction of both the client and the yard.

Work on the SeaRose has included:

  • Maintenance on the vessel’s propulsion system
  • Specialist piping and turret system upgrades
  • Refurbishment of the turret lower bearings and utility swivel seals
