Stephen Mills

Stephen Mills

Director of Business Development, Cruise & Ferry

Born in East Belfast, Stephen grew up with H&W Goliath cranes as his playground backdrop. After graduating from the University of Ulster in Civil Engineering, Stephen worked as an engineer in the building and civil sectors before joining Mivan Marine, where he accumulated over 30 years in the marine sector.

Stephen has specialist knowledge of cruise lines, ferry operators, shipyards and an in-depth understanding of supply chains, where he has built a vast network of relationships from working across Europe, North America, Middle East, Asia and Australia.

His experience has covered both hands-on and management of enquiry generation, estimating, contract negotiation to final project/account handover and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

According to one frequent flyer programme, Stephen has notched +1 million miles in the air which is the equivalent of flying to two return trips to the moon, that’s 2,000 hours in the air, visiting 44 cities in 23 countries. His most recent trip was to New Zealand via San Francisco, where he clocked up 11,500 miles in 24 hours.
