In November 2012, Kvaerner Verdal AS awarded Harland and Wolff the contract to fabricate 8 pile clusters, 12 floatation tanks and 108 conductor guides, which are critical sub-assemblies for two massive oil rig jackets.
The 13,400 tonne jacket for Edvard Grieg offshore oil field and the 14,200 jacket for Martin Linge are both installed in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea to support oil rig facilities developed by Lundin and Total.

Work Scope on the Project Included:
- Norsok standard for fabrication, inspection and protective coatings

Quality Performance
- Implemented ISO 3834 pt 2: 2005 prior to project start
- High grade weld specification resulted in 19,953 NDT reports
- MPI & UT weld test of 28,853 m resulting in a defect rate of 0.426%
