Job purpose: Close support the H&W Director of Strategic Bids to Cruise & Ferry tenders into repeatable winning outcomes to meet our H&W Group annual revenue targets for the Cruise & Ferry Market. Outstanding cruise and ferry bid manager coordination skills, well used to very strong bid management lifecycle principles with formal gate control but with commercial winning agility to enable effective win outputs.

The Role:

  • Support robust bid management execution of target cruise and ferry tenders (UK and International) to meet Market annual revenue and growth targets;
  • Design, develop and maintain robust cruise and ferry bid management folders/library with superlative cruise and ferry tender material to enable very high-quality cruise and ferry tenders submissions;
  • Thought leadership into the design of and management for the cruise and ferry bid management value-chain story-boards i.e. the effective and ideally visual communication of the win themes, customer hot buttons, competitor analysis and pre-mortems all to enable technical and commercial win solutions;
  • Own and maintain a dynamic cruise and ferry bid tender register, linked to and fully integrated with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool that indicates real-time updates of complex and lengthy bid returns (assume £MM value complex projects);
  • Expert decomposition of all cruise and ferry tenders to compile a book plan, with executive summary to brief the wider business to the tender timeline and objectives;
  • Superior bid management chairmanship, influencing and motivating skills from kick-off meeting, through blue/red/black/green/pink team progressive reviews, culminating in Board-level approvals (below <£3M delivery centre thresholds and >£MM strategic value

About You:

  • Ideally, Bid Craft / Managing Successful Projects / Shipley trained cadre;
  • Ability to operate at various levels of the business, both externally and internally, forging trusting relationships, building supplier/supply chain collaborations and resilience, motivating teams and individuals within our matrix-management structure;
  • Proven Technical / Operational delivery acumen
  • Very good familiarity of various commercial marine contract constructs
  • Sound financial & literary skills & knowledge
  • Strong influencing & relationship building skills
