Job Summary:
Painter will carry out blasting and painting on high profile/large scale projects
Responsibilities:
- Finish paint components, free of defects.
- Repairing any surface defects before final paint coat application
- Inspect, test, clean, adjust, repair and service painting or coating equipment.
- Set up, operate, and adjust painting and coating equipment.
- Surface preparation
- Using painting specifications
- Using specific hand and mechanical preparation techniques
- Use of specific painting techniques
- Using coating repair systems
- Tank cleaning and high-pressure water washing
- Repairing any surface defects before final paint coat application
Essential:
- Strong experience working in marine/industrial environments
- IPAF Tickets
- A keen awareness and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety and quality
Desirable:
- ICATS / Train the Painter (preferred)
- Forklift license
- Blasting/Spraying experience
Key Interpersonal/Behavioural Skills:
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines
- Build good working relationships
