Job Summary:  

Painter will carry out blasting and painting on high profile/large scale projects

Responsibilities:

  • Finish paint components, free of defects.
  • Repairing any surface defects before final paint coat application
  • Inspect, test, clean, adjust, repair and service painting or coating equipment.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust painting and coating equipment.
  • Surface preparation
  • Using painting specifications
  • Using specific hand and mechanical preparation techniques
  • Use of specific painting techniques
  • Using coating repair systems
  • Tank cleaning and high-pressure water washing
  • Repairing any surface defects before final paint coat application

Essential:

  • Strong experience working in marine/industrial environments
  • IPAF Tickets
  • A keen awareness and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety and quality

Desirable:

  • ICATS / Train the Painter (preferred)
  • Forklift license
  • Blasting/Spraying experience

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines
  • Build good working relationships
