H&W successfully complete total Stena Line North Sea fleet refit

For the first time, Stena Line has completed the annual refit of its entire Irish Sea North fleet of seven vessels in a £5m, 4-month dry dock programme at Harland and Wolff in Belfast.

Stena Line Refits Progressing

H&W has had a busy first quarter of 2017, working with Stena Line to complete annual inspections and upgrade works including main engine repairs, removal and repair of rudders, blasting and painting, deck repairs, repairs to life saving equipment, and technical enhancements.


200 Jobs will be supported by Offshore Renewables Manufacturing Contract

Harland and Wolff has secured a major new manufacturing contract with offshore wind farm development firm ScottishPower Renewables. The contract will support 200 jobs for the contract’s duration which is expected to start in Q2 2017 and reach completion in 2018.
