Harland & Wolff (Methil) closes Levenmouth food bank donations at a grand total of £1,155.00. This was facilitated with the help of union reps, particularly George McClelland and Brian Glancy.
The cash and food donations were well received by the food bank on Monday 19th December and made a significant difference to the way locals celebrated the festive season in these testing times.
Fozia Parveen the Group Social Value Lead added ‘’Social Value is an integral part of our operations. We are particularly keen to support local needs wherever possible through our support to local businesses, local employment, the environment as well as ensuring support to our local communities. With the growing need for food banks in and around our sites, we have been proactive in supporting the local food bank in Methil. The support through our donations here has directly benefitted local people in need and we look forward to continuing to support this and other initiatives moving forward.’’
