With over 20 years of international corporate experience in technology innovation and business creation, we are delighted to welcome Ian Ure, our new Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.

An award-winning consultant and author, Ian is a seasoned strategic change executive with strong commercial acumen and deep experience leading complex transformations across functions, programmes, and territories, both in the UK and internationally.

Having worked in large blue-chip organisations and small start-up environments, Ian has a unique perspective and hands-on experience on what makes high-performing teams tick.

Throughout his career, Ian has successfully taken three start-up ventures to market and has worked in retail and leisure operations earning a reputation for successfully turning around businesses’ cost-neutrally.

Prior to joining Harland & Wolff, Ian founded a specialist strategic change consultancy which led a number of high-profile projects including landing the vision and target operating model for the UK Shipbuilding Enterprise which is part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy.

In the newly-created role of Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Ian is focused on shaping Harland & Wolff into a higher-performing organisation, instigating digital transformation and disruption, as well as preparing the organisation for the future.
