MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To procure goods and services as required by a project or an internal department in accordance with the schedule, budget and quality standards.
- Define, obtain and manage the procured resources required to deliver each project in accordance with the schedule, budget and quality standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the maximum benefit for the company.
- Ensure that for subcontractor teams working on a project, their interfaces and associated costs are managed effectively.
- Monitor progress for each project against schedule, budget and quality and when necessary take appropriate action to correct deviations.
- Liaise with customer representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and company department to ensure that good working relationships and team work are maintained at all times.
