Reports to: CEO

Job Purpose:   Lead and direct a Strategic Bids Team from H&W Group London Corporate Office, capable of managing and converting strategic important bids (by value and must win analysis), establishing a central bid excellence function which will govern repeatable, high-quality bids from across all delivery centres. Develop and implement PWIN strategies in close liaison with/and plans which support annual revenue growth and business targets across target/core markets.

The Role

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic value/important bid conversion strategies, campaigns and plans to support business winning potential across Energy, Renewables, Defence, Cruise and Commercial Marine core markets
  • Ensure robust strategic bid governance is established to effectively steward multi-market opportunities through the Bid lifecycle to contract award, building a very credible strategic bid team in the London corporate office, with central bid excellence as the key objective
  • Formulate and deliver robust bid conversion strategies, plans and budgets for selected strategic project opportunities and ensure the process for strategic bid approvals (assume >£5M) from the respective Senior Management Team / Board are achieved prior to all strategic bid submissions

About You

  • Strong commercial acumen to understand key drivers risks and sensitivities in commercial & financial modelling
  • Ability to interpret and manage multiple Bids and/or business requirements simultaneously
  • Experienced in contract negotiations
  • Ability to challenge all aspects of business / project costs and drive efficiency in all areas.
