Job Summary: To supervise all rigging operations and personnel (including sub–contract personnel) so as to ensure best utilisation of all resources in a safe working environment and to complete the workscope to the required quality standard, schedule and cost targets.
The Role
- Co-ordinate rigging operations
- Co-ordinate the docking, undocking and mooring of vessels
- Develop the short-term (1 week look-ahead) schedule of work for own team
- Ensure information, materials, tools, equipment and labour are appropriately available and assigned
- Provide guidance and support on job methods as necessary e.g. job guidance sheets
- Ensure all operations are carried out to the required quality standards
- Ensure that there is a safe working environment in own area of operations
- Manage recovery actions to ensure performance, cost and schedule targets are met
- Follow-up on progress and ensure that quality feedback information supports the management system
- Liaise with customer/classification society surveyor
- Operate and comply with management control system
- Deputise for management when required
About you
- NVQ Level 3 – Moving Engineering Loads or equivalent
- Knowledge & understanding of LOLER 98
- In depth knowledge of rigging equipment
- Ability to work at heights
