Job purpose
To develop and maintain an effective service to all Business Units in the Company.
The Role
- Time served electrician with industrial / maintenance experience
- 17th / 18th Edition
- Extensive knowledge of fault finding
- Extensive experience of working on DC systems
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams and schematics
- Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, switchboards, and varied electrical fixtures including DC systems.
- Install and maintain electrical, electromechanical and electronic parts of machinery and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant and shop electrical systems and equipment
- Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of electrical legislation and understanding of RAMS / SSOW / Permits / LOTO
Ideally in possession of, or confirmed willing to be trained in:
- Use of MEWP training
- Working at Height training
- Confined Space training
