Job purpose: The role will drive the business development and growth strategy for the Cruise & Ferry market, encompassing the H&W 6 services. In addition to pursuing opportunities, the scope will include understanding and articulating market trends, developing emerging client requirements to the business, advocating new solution development to meet these needs, and identifying teaming and partnering opportunities to develop a forward-looking winning position in the market.
The role will actively undertake client engagement activities to support the business across our 4 sites, and 6 services. This role is responsible for identifying, creating, developing and pursuing opportunities through the full life cycle and working closely with the Bids, Marketing & Communications and Government & Corporate Affairs teams.
The Role:
- Delivers the H&W growth and margin target for the Cruise & Ferry Market, delivering the required order intake and business growth to meet the Business Plan.
- Work with designated H&W partners within defined markets & project opportunities to support business winning potential.
- Design, develop and maintain a Stakeholder Engagement framework demonstrating strong focus on the regional prospect pipeline across prioritised geographies.
- Develop and continually improve the capability for delivering real-time market intelligence from target markets.
- Attend / manage related forums (seminars, exhibitions) / campaigns to aid market growth.
- Support the design, development and execution of the H&W Sales/Business Development strategy and execution across target markets.
- Champion (or support) any key business specific activity as deemed appropriate by the H&W Director of Cruise & Ferry and Group Head of Sales / BD
About You:
- Demonstrable knowledge of Cruise and Ferry industry (gained through operational, project and/or sales/business development experience), in particular a strong network within the US market segment and competitive landscape.
- Ability to interpret customer needs, including docking patterns, hotel facilities and technical requirements to align to H&W capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills (including presentation skills).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- HND/Diploma/Degree (Hons)
