Starting with a basic specification and a footprint on the unit, Harland & Wolff were responsible for the design, approval, procurement, manufacture, assembly, outfitting and mechanical completion, all within 10 months. The work was carried out in the controlled environment of our manufacturing halls, prior to being lifted by one of our ‘Goliath’ gantry cranes onto the delivery barge.

The Accommodation Module, designed and built to UK HSE standards for the North Sea, included cabins for 130 people, galley, mess rooms, HVAC rooms, etc.

The Accommodation was successfully delivered on schedule and to budget. After delivery the client requested that Harland & Wolff enter into a further contract to integrate the module into the rig systems and perform some additional scopes.
